Medek was established in line with Turkey's strategic development plans to contribute to the development of a qualified workforce and to increase the qualifications of vocational school graduates. For this purpose, the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (Medek) was established in 2021 with the encouragement and support of the Council of Higher Education. Medek received accreditation authority for 83 vocational school programs in 2023 by the Higher Education Quality Board (Yökak). This authority ensures that the compliance of vocational school programs with specified standards, quality criteria and performance criteria is evaluated. In this context, it contributes to the shaping of the qualified workforce of the future. Our Association, Authorized in the Field of Accreditation, Contributes to the Development of Quality Standards of Vocational School Programs, Improvement of Education-Training Processes and Making Learning Gains More Consistent with Meticulous Processes Managed by an Experienced Team. Accredited Programs are Made Compatible with Turkish Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) and European Qualifications Framework (AYÇ) and International Recognition is Provided and Businesses Can Reach a More Qualified Workforce. In addition, the Use of the TYÇ Logo on the Diplomas of Accredited Programs Becomes Possible and Diplomas Become Internationally Recognized. Vocational School Students Also Have the Opportunity to Find a Job More Easily.

The Vision of Medek is to define the education, research activities and administrative processes of associate degree programs in accordance with national and international standards, to determine the quality of human resources and to become an institution that provides quality registration by sharing the results with the relevant institutions.
