Student Improvements

A meeting was held with our students, who are external stakeholders of the Civil Air Transportation Management program, on 29.03.2024, and the program mission, vision, educational objectives, program outcomes and educational plan issues were discussed. In this context, as a result of internal stakeholder suggestions, Vocational Foreign Language and Technology Addiction courses were added to the 2023-2024 curriculum. On 24.10.2024, internal stakeholders were interviewed on issues where low scores were obtained according to the results of the 2023-2024 academic year student satisfaction surveys, and student suggestions were received. Studies are being carried out on the specified issues. On 16.10.2024, feedback regarding internships from students who did their internships in the summer term of the 2023-2024 academic year was discussed.

Graduate Improvements

Systematic interviews are held with graduate students within the scope of continuous improvement studies in our program. Since the program produced its first graduates in 2023, the first meeting was held on 04.07.2023 and discussions were held on the curriculum, and updates were made to the curriculum with the feedback received from the students.

A second meeting was held with the graduate students on 01.04.2024, and discussions were held on issues such as curriculum, program outcomes, objectives, mission, and vision, and the decisions made are presented in the appendix. In addition, the questionnaire in the appendix was directed to the graduates in 2024, and their opinions regarding the program and the college were obtained. Necessary measures and remedial activities are planned to be organized within the scope of the relevant feedback received from the graduates in the 2024-2025 academic year.

The program objectives represent the positions that the program graduates will occupy in 3-6 years. In this context, a survey was conducted on our program graduates, and 66.7% of the working graduates covered the program objective. Our program accepted its first student in 2021 and produced its first graduates in 2023. In this context, although the number of our graduates is quite low, it is normal that it does not cover all the program objectives since it is only 1 year. It is anticipated that the level of reaching the program objectives will increase within 3-6 years.

External Stakeholder Improvements

In the meeting held with the program advisory board, which is the external stakeholder of the Civil Air Transportation Management program, on 28.03.2024, the program mission, vision, educational objectives, program outcomes and educational plan issues were discussed. As a result of the feedback received from the board, it was requested that the Vocational Foreign Language, Air Cargo and Dangerous Goods courses be added to the curriculum and the Load Control and Balance course be taught in practice. In this direction, the relevant decisions were implemented and changes were made from the 2023-2024 curriculum. In order to close the PUKO cycle, a meeting was held with the external stakeholder on 01.11.2024 and the listed elements were reviewed again. In addition, a meeting was held with the graduate students, who are the external stakeholders of the program, on 01.04.2024, their opinions were received and the Advanced English course was added to the curriculum.
