Department of Economics and Administrative Programs, located within Kayseri Vocational School, which was established in 1978 and affiliated with Erciyes University in 1981, with the decision of the Council of Higher Education dated 07.01.2003 and numbered 00361, and articles 7/d-2, 7/h and 3843 of the Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2880. In accordance with Article 4 of Law No. 4, it was separated from the Technical Programs department and transformed into a new Vocational School as of January 1, 2003.

Our school started education in the 2003-2004 academic year. In accordance with the amended article 7/d-2 numbered 2880 of the Law numbered 2547 dated 17.11.2004, the name of the School was regulated as İzzet Bayraktar Vocational School of Social Sciences. Kayseri University was established with the Law on Amendments to the Higher Education Law and Certain Laws and Decree Laws published in the Official Gazette dated 18 May 2018 and numbered 30425, and our Vocational School was transferred to the newly established Kayseri University under the name of Vocational School of Social Sciences. Our school has been continuing its education activities within Kayseri University 15 July Campus since June 2020.
